The latest versions of MS Word allow you to find images on the Internet and paste them into a document directly in the application itself. In earlier versions there is no such function, therefore, in order to place the desired image from any website into a Word document, you need to perform several simple steps.
- Open the site with the desired image and right-click on the image that you want to insert into the document. In the menu that appears, select the “Copy image” section. After that, the selected image will be placed on the clipboard of your computer.

If the image size does not suit you, you can change it. To do this, left-click on the image and drag one of the corners. So that the proportions of the picture do not change in the process of resizing, press and hold the Shift button.

To make the drawing be in the center of the text, select the “Square” wrap and the “Center” horizontal alignment.
You can also fine-tune the position of the picture. To do this, on the “Layout” tab in the “Format Picture” window, use the “Advanced…” button.
After clicking on this button, the “Advanced Layout” window will appear.
It contains many advanced settings and, in particular, you can specify the distance of the pattern from the test to the right, left, top and bottom.

Insert the picture in the right place text. Right-click on the image and in the menu that appears, select “Format Picture”. In the “Format Picture” window on the “Layout” tab in the “Wrapping style” block, select the “Behind text” or “In front of text” option.
